After submitting a receipt you should get back a list of receipt items to review.

Review

Make sure all the data is correct. Tap on each area to update that area or swipe right to view a full form input to make multiple changes at once.

Pantry Items

Once you are satisfied, simply "Save to Pantry" and new items will be created and tracked.

Almanac Entries

Each pantry item points to a single almanac entry. These entries makeup all the unique items you've ever had in your pantry and help track notes, nutrition, and trends over time.

Ultimately it is up to you what constitutes a unique item and what can be considered equal.

Maybe Carrots and Baby Carrots are close enough that you consider interchangeable.

Maybe Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs and Bone-in Skin-on Chicken Thighs deserve distinct entries.

Note that every item is it's own unique item in your pantry even if it points to the same almanac entry as a previous item.
